Need a Guest Room (or 5)?

November 8, 2012

Thanksgiving is next week, and many of us are expecting out of town guests.  If you don’t have beds to spare, here are some temporary options that can turn your 3 bedrooms into five.

AeroBed Elevated Home and Camp Bed with Built-in Pump $99.99

Air mattresses have come a long way in the past few years.  Softer materials make all that middle of the night squeaking a thing of the past.

Pop-Up Trundle Frame and Rail, Twin $196.41

Turn your kid’s twin bed into a double with a pop-up trundle bed.

Regalo My Cot Portable Bed $24.89

For under $25 each, you can pick up a few of these cots for the kids.

Murphy Beds $1,295+

Okay, at over $1,000, a Murphy bed is definitely not for everyone, but if floorspace is limited, it may be the best option for some.  There are even some diy kits out there that make it easy to build your own for much less money.

REI DoubleNest Hammock $64.95

Does your family drive you crazy? You can always make them sleep outside. These hammocks are surprisingly comfortable, a breeze to store, and easy to set up.

Will you be the guest this year? Check back later for some gift ideas for the kind souls who will put you up (and increase your chances of sleeping inside!)
