Snug as a Bug: 5 Sources for Inexpensive Rugs

December 3, 2012

I live in a carpetless house, so we’ve purchased our fair share of area rugs to help warm things up. Unfortunately, rugs can be prohibitively expensive, especially if you need to buy more than one, so we’ve found 5 sources that sell them for more reasonable prices. Check them out and cover up those bare floors!

Dash & Albert Rug Company sells fairly inexpensive woven cotton rugs (like the one shown) and slightly higher priced cotton hooked ones.

World Market is a great source for well priced rugs. They offer a bunch of very inexpensive jute and natural rugs, but this wool one is a pretty good deal, as well. And lucky you, all their rugs are 40% off right now!

Urban Outfitters may not make the highest quality rugs out there, but for a guest room or office, they fit the bill. And you really can’t beat the prices for such cool designs.

CB2 is the less expensive branch of Crate & Barrel and, even though their rugs are pricier than some of the others listed here, if you catch them on sale, you’ll get a good quality rug at a reasonable price.
