Use Floorplanner Before You Throw Out Your Back

February 8, 2013

I come from a family of furniture rearrangers.  My mom changes the furniture layout in the living room practically every other weekend.  David and I carry on this tradition by changing our living room furniture at least seasonally (arranged around the windows in the summer, and the fireplace in the winter, naturally).  I love seeing a room in a new way like that, but sometimes we settle for an arrangement that is less than perfect because…well, because that couch is really heavy and we can’t bear to move it again! Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way I could see if the chairs would fit in front of the window without actually having to lift them up? Can’t I try the sofa in six different places while still sitting on said sofa?

Well, the answer is here! Floorplanner is a little online tool that allows you to create a room with the same measurements as yours, and then add and arrange furniture, lighting, curtains, rugs, and even plants to your heart’s content, no unpleasant sweating or stubbed toes required.  Then, when you have it how you want it, you can confidently move things into their precise locations on the first try, without fear of overcrowding or blocked passageways! The basic model is free, so try it out today–your back will thank you tomorrow!
