We never seem to have enough seating in our living room.  All too often, we are pulling chairs in from the dining room to accommodate guests.  We don’t have a whole lot of space (or the money) for more chairs at the moment, but an ottoman or two might work for us. I am feeling up to a project right now, so I did a little round-up of diy ottomans.  Maybe one of these will find its way into my living room in the next few weeks!

This is so simple that I might not totally screw it up! From PopSugar

This mod little guy is made of wooden spools that the hardware store discards, so it’s practically FREE! From DesignSponge

I love the bohemian look of these.  From Better Homes and Gardens

It is so easy to find ugly ottomans on Craigslist and at thrift shops.  Apartment Therapy shows us how to take a beat-up and horrible ottoman and turn it into this, for less than $50! From Apartment Therapy

These are adorable.  I think the killer (budget-wise) is the stuffing, though. Foam is so expensive! From Better Homes and Gardens

If you search the Internet, you will find many, many examples of coffee tables turned into ottomans.  The vast majority look like a coffee table with a pillow on it, covered in a bed sheet.  This one is very nice and neat and convincing, though.  From Little Green Notebook
