New Public Art Program in Columbus

February 6, 2014

One of the best parts about living in Philadelphia was all the public art around town. There were tons of murals around, and they really gave beauty to some otherwise dark and colorless spaces.

According to Columbus Underground, Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman established the new Columbus Public Art Program, which will be well funded with $250,000 annually to support public art projects.

If you live in Columbus, watch for more public art installations in your neighborhood–they can be anything from large sculptures, murals, green spaces, or fountains. Just another reason to love Columbus!
