Inland Cities Growing Fast Because of More Affordable Housing

City dwellers who are tired of million dollar studio apartments are migrating inland in increasing numbers. Middle American cities like Oklahoma City, Colorado Springs, and (you knew it was coming) Columbus, Ohio offer the bustling city vibe without the high housing costs of New York or Los Angeles. I’ve gotta say that this totally matches my own personal experience. When faced with the choice to either move to Philadelphia or Columbus, the fact that I could actually afford to buy a home in exactly the neighborhood I wanted in Columbus, as opposed to renting a crappy apartment in a rough neighborhood in Philly, definitely played a role.
