Pack a Box of Kitchen Essentials When You Move

September 10, 2014

This post is sponsored by Century 21 Excellence Realty based in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. We’d love to help you buy or sell a home in Central Ohio! Give us a call!

I believe we’ve talked before about packing a separate box of items you’ll need in the first 12 or so hours after you move and keeping it to the side (things like phone chargers, toilet paper, bath towels, a shower curtain liner, etc), but what about the morning after? You may be the type that unpacks your entire kitchen as soon as you get the keys to your new place, but if you’re more the type that, after transporting all your worldly possessions from one home to another, just collapses in a heap on a bare mattress on the floor, you may need some kitchen essentials in a designated box for that first morning. Things like a French press, some paper plates, a knife, a frying pan, and some dish soap will all be necessary early on, so it’s good to have them on hand and easily accessible. Check out this post from The Kitchn for an itemized list of things you’ll need to make a decent breakfast, or at least a cup of joe to get you started on the long task that is unpacking it all!
