Central Ohio Haunted Houses

October 29, 2014

Image from Bizjournal. The Kappa Kappa Gamma Heritage Museum is apparently haunted by its old caretaker, who roams the halls in a pink bathrobe!

Every region has its own set of local ghost stories and spooky houses that just might be haunted. Central Ohio is no different, and Robin Smith, our local ghost story expert, has compiled many of Ohio’s best stories into her two books, Columbus Ghosts and Columbus Ghosts II. She has also gathered up photos and tales of our own local haunted buildings here on Bizjournal.

Whether or not you believe in ghosts, spirits or spooks, the stories about each building are fascinating and lots of fun to read. From the ghost of Abraham Lincoln at the Ohio Statehouse to the snowy footprints of a woman seeking her revenge at the Elevator downtown, these stories would all make fun Halloween ghost stories, perfect for retelling around a bonfire on Friday night. Check out the slideshow (complete with black and white photos of each location) here at Bizjournal.
