Printable and DIY Thanksgiving Place cards

November 25, 2014

I didn’t grow up in a family that did place cards on Thanksgiving, but I think they are a great idea when you’re throwing a large family together for a long meal. I mean, who wants to hear the conversation between the crotchety uncle and the know-it-all teenager (every family has them!). Why not put crotchety uncle next to good natured cousin, and know-it-all teen beside deaf-in-one-ear great grandma? Place cards can seriously save the day.

Here are some really nice place cards that you can either print out for free, or easily diy–a great project for kids to keep them from getting underfoot in the kitchen! My favorites are these simple cards with rosemary sprigs threaded in. Check out more examples on Kitchn.com.
